This project is a fully renovated brownstone to Passive house standards. The project is relevant to the Renewable Energy and STEM Center in the way it uses a heavily insulated and sealed building envelope and triple glazed windows, LED lighting and solar panel water heating to reduce energy use by 90%. Systems are situated conveniently for instructional use in passive house design.
